                     Jenny Haskin's Creative Adventure

        If you're a fan of Jenny Haskins, you don't want to miss this!  As Certified Jenny Haskins Tutors, Diana and I will be presenting our first Creative Adventure together.  Join us for a wonderful weekend of unique projects created by Jenny & Simon Haskins exclusively for her Tutors.  This small, intimate gathering will be held at Bonny's in Woodbridge, VA.  Due to the limited space, please register as quickly as possible.  Please call 703-451-8480 to register.

Our projects will be:  Reversible Cutwork Pillow-Victorian Velvet Heart-Bathroom Tissue Holder-Appliqué Linen Doily.

Techniques included:  Machine Embroidery - Trapunto Appliqué - Curved Decorative Satin Stitching - Embroidered Appliqué - Designer Piping - Antique Cutwork - Sheer Reverse Appliqué - Wing Needle Work - Designer Tassel Making by Machine - Shadow Appliqué - Three Dimensional Embroidery - and More.

 So you know how to thread your machine, NOW WHAT?  Let's get started with this comfy, cozy ensemble. This 3-piece set includes an adjustable corded bracelet, a pillow case and elastic waist pants with a pocket.  Fabric and pattern layout, tracing, cutting, seam allowances, seaming, making a waistband casing, hemming, and more will be covered.  Class Fee:  $99   Kit Fee:  $21  (includes book w/pattern, practice fabric, pattern paper, elastic, cotton cord.  Supply list for additional items given at registration.

INTRODUCTION TO BASIC BEGINNER SEWING

 If you have completed the basic owners class and would like more hands on ex-perience or if it's been awhile since you attended class, this is just right for you.We will use a special Workbook specifically created as a learning tool to advance and reinforce your knowledge of your sewing machine.   It comes complete with clear and concise instructions plus all the fabrics, stabilizers and trims needed to complete this workbook.  The binder includes page protectors and actually latches making a container for your samples.  If you find it difficult to attend class, the instructions are so well written, you will find it very easy to complete on your own.  Add a few threads and your basic sewing supplies and you too will be ready to further your knowledge.  Covers all sewing machine makes & models.    1-3 hour    Cost: $29  (Workbook extra)

 Lets explore the decorative side of the coverlock feature on your Huskylock 936 or Pfaff 4800 series serger.  Using a variety of decorative threads, this stitch can make a very elegant and attractive embellishment on woven fabric.  Kit will include fabric, lace, and 3 types of designer threads in 2 color choices.  2-2 1/2 hour  Cost:   $79 or N/C for Preferred Customers  (Kit/Supplies not included)
